Alone. Disconnected. Overwhelmed.

These are the words we are hear most often at the clinic. So many people are struggling – with their relationships, their kids, their careers but mostly, with themselves. They feel like they’ve lost their sense of purpose and an understanding of what brings them real happiness.

Over time, unresolved pain, a difficult life situation, or a deeper mental health issue will keep you stuck in patterns that lead to feeling unfulfilled, even when everything looks good on the outside.

We help you change the patterns that are keeping from loving your life.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

The first step is to book a free brief phone intake. Once this step is completed and we know a little more about you and your current concerns, you will be assigned to one of the clinicians on our team. Assignments are typically based on current concerns and clinicians’ availability.

If you’d like to get started, please visit our contact page to request an appointment.

While our psychological assessment and psychotherapy services are not covered by OHIP, most extended health insurance plans cover services provided by psychologists, social workers, and psychotherapists. Clients dealing with work-related problems may be eligible for coverage through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).

We offer in-person sessions in Oakville and virtual sessions across Ontario.

Figuring out if you need an assessment or therapy starts with a quick chat on the phone. Based on your current challenges, needs and goals, we will recommend the direction that we believe will be the most beneficial for you; whether that’s an assessment, therapy, or a combination of both.

You can call us at 905-827-7650.

In our initial session, we will discuss your concerns and issues you are dealing with and decide together on a basic plan. Typically, during our first couple of sessions, we conduct an assessment to get to know you and your needs better.

If you are seeking help for your child, we invite parents or caregivers to the initial session before seeing your child. Similarly, we will discuss your current concerns and then decide on the next steps. That might include seeing your child alone and/or the family together in subsequent sessions. We can then determine a more specific treatment plan once we know your child and your family better. Teens typically attend the initial session, and parents only attend part of it. That way we can explain the process to parents and they have the opportunity to meet with our therapist and ask any questions. We schedule a parent interview at a later time.

If you still have questions, reach out! We’d love to hear from you.
